Why your personal brand is your superpower

How to stand out without selling out

↓

Hey Reader,

Last Thursday, I led my signature Personal Branding for Introverts masterclass for Lea Turner’s The HoLT – a business membership group.

You may already have heard of Lea from LinkedIn (aka Lea does LinkedIn). She and I were chatting before we admitted the attendees and she told me that this is a topic that comes up a lot within her community.

This is something that I hear time and time again: most introverts think personal branding means pretending to be someone they’re not.

And we get stuck in inaction because we’re overthinking it.

Your personal brand is already within you. You don’t have to create it from scratch – you just have to recognise it.

That’s exactly why I sent you my strategy guide as a surprise thank you when you signed up (hit reply if for any reason you don’t have it and I’ll get it to you straight away) – it’s the area for which I am most commonly asked for help with.

My guide walks you through my 5Cs strategy for building an authentic personal brand: Contemplation, Curation, Communication, Consistency, and Community.

Each step is designed specifically for introverts: no masking; no hustle; no shouting into the void.

Just a simple, sustainable way to build a brand that fits you so that you can have impact without the overwhelm.

Most people download resources and let them gather digital dust.

Not you!

Whether you’ve already begun, or whether you’ve yet to take action, here’s how to get the most out of it, step by step:

Contemplation

Your personal brand starts with self-awareness.

Take 10 minutes today to answer these reflection points:

  • What lights me up?
  • What do I stand for?
  • What do people already come to me for?

Curation

Your experiences shape your brand. Start using the lifetime homework hack today:

  • Before bed, jot down one moment from your day – big or small – that had an impact on you. It may help to ask yourself, “What story-worthy thing happened to me today?”
  • Me sharing my rock bottom moment when my MacBook broke with you last week was an example of this; over time, you’ll have a bank of stories to share authentically.

Communication

You don’t need to be everywhere. Choose one platform where you feel comfortable.

Then, try this easy post:

“Hi, I’m [Name]. I believe [core belief], I love [passion], and I help people with [something you naturally do]. What’s something you love to talk about?

Consistency

Pick a content schedule you can actually stick to:

  • Once a week? Perfect.
  • Three times a week? Amazing.
  • Daily? Only if you enjoy it!

Remember: Consistency beats intensity.

Whatever you choose you have to COMMIT to it. Aim for 30 days as a starting point, as this will help you to create a habit.

Community

Your people are out there. Instead of shouting into the void, engage first:

  • Reply to DMs and comments thoughtfully.
  • Be the kind of person you’d want in your audience.
  • Support others by commenting on, and sharing, their content.

Take action today ✨

Open your guide and pick one small action to do right now.

Tiny steps lead to big shifts.

I’d love to hear how you get on – hit reply and tell me which step feels easiest (or hardest!) for you.

And if this email helped you, forward it to another introvert who needs to hear it.

In your corner always,
Sam 💛
